Need Suggestions Please

So I'm attempting to do something special for my boyfriend's birthday (and his brother, they're twins so I kind of have to...) and my boyfriend is possibly the least helpful person in the world when it comes to stuff like this, so I'd like suggestions.

So far I've got a great cake planned (his favourite kind with funny/cool decorations) and am wanting to book a room at a local restaurant that nobody in our group's been to before (and from the menu I found online for it the prices seem decent... may go try it out later this week).
But other than that I don't know what to do.
Last year we did sushi and then went to a bar. It was a blast, but I don't know if I really want to do that again or not.


So any suggestions on what you've done in the past for birthdays, or would like to do?
(He's vetoed a limo ride because of how expensive they are...)

One of the best birthdays I had, we had a whole bunch of friends over to my place, had a waterballoon/squirtgun fight(or perhaps several), and then grilled it up while getting drunk. Add to that some old skool video games(pull out the original NES) and you've got a party any dude can enjoy. Just make sure to have a super soaker hidden away for when everyone gangs up on him. Pull him aside, hand him the big guns, and let him have a blast!

I second that.

I was just at a graduation party where that exact thing happened...minus the getting drunk...and it was an N64.

How did it go, if it happened already? What did you decide on?

We ended up doing the restaurant, then went back to our house and had the birthday boys whack at a pinata (blindfolded and mildly drunk).

Not as much fun as the water fight/gaming idea, but I couldn't find any water guns

My wife got them from the dollar store. 4 for a dollar. They were just the little tiny handguns but they had some kick when it came to firing range.
